JOB SUMMARY

Manage and oversee the provision and delivery of all reproductive healthcare services including medication abortion. Ensure efficient center operations, staff engagement, and optimal patient experience in a family planning setting as prescribed by the Agency's protocols, policies, and procedures. Actively contribute to and support agency changes and initiatives, including upholding standardized systems across health centers, while maintaining compliance with agency standard practices. Supervise, build and maintain a team of Patent Access staff and Medical Assistant Supervisor/s, including regular coaching and development of employees and future organizational leaders. Manage staff performance under the Just Culture paradigm. Create a psychologically safe team environment rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion. CM II will manage health centers that run an average of 3 clinician shifts per day, as determined by the Scheduling Office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

The Essential Functions encompasses the required duties and responsibilities of the job role and the reason the job exists. All Essential Functions must be performed with or with/out reasonable accommodations.

Member of the Health Center Operations Leadership Team.

 

Work collaboratively with Lead Clinician for the responsibility of the financial and operational performance of the health centers including implementations and initiatives.

 

Oversee health center operations and in partnership with the Lead Clinician ensures a consistent management approach.

 

Lead implementation for all health center initiatives in partnership with the Lead Clinician.

 

Makes business decisions that promote equity and prioritize the need of the community.

 

Effectively partners with other departments, as necessary.

 

Drives continuous course correction actions for health center operations that are not meeting quality or performance measures.

 

Ensures effective cross-center standardization including workflows, policies, and procedures.

 

Balances operational effectiveness, staff engagement, and patient experience.

 

Implements and monitors items relating to the standardization of clinical workflows, policies, and procedures.

 

Operates form a continuous improvement mindset.

 

In partnership with Lead Clinician, communicates access goals with health center staff.

 

Lead inclusively by making active, intentional, and ongoing efforts to promote full participation and sense of belonging of every employee, patient, and strategic partner.

 

Support the provision of medical service delivery in partnership with Clinical Leadership.

 

Remain current on all FDA approved contraception (including emergency contraception), non-directional decision-making pregnancy options counselling (including surgical and medication abortion, adoption, and prenatal), STI’s (including HIV), comprehensive sexuality including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning, community resources, PPPSW medical protocols, administrative procedures, referral procedures and all Planned Parenthood services and programs.

 

Accountable for the health center’s financial performance and adherence to operational budget and variance management.

 

Monitors and analyzes productivity, access and revenue cycle data.

 

Utilizes data to make recommendations with the Regional Director and Patient Access, regarding FTEs, staffing and operational budgets.

 

Implement measures to ensure health center is meeting performance metrics, financial excellence, patient experience, wait times, response rates, and patient follow up.

 

Collaborate with the Dir of Patient Access to promote access and utilization of PPPSW services for appropriate scheduling of patient visits to ensure efficient center flow.

 

Oversee appropriate scheduling of patient visits to ensure efficient center flow.

 

Ensure adherence to scheduling and template policies and procedures including utilization of accurate visit types.

 

Proactively review schedules and implement and oversee measures to improve access.

 

Regularly monitor access reports to inform access, productivity and develop course correction as necessary.

 

Holds health center staff accountable to clinical quality standards and service standards- supports and directs involvement with clinical quality reviews, enforces service standards, creates systems to address patient experience feedback, regularly reviews and implements improvement efforts in response to Patient Experience data and reports.

 

Effectively interact with patients and colleagues and develops positive relationships.

 

Ensure equitable access to quality care and health center services for patients.

 

Actively participate in DEI learning and awareness- coach and role model for team.
